'wind stops before the wall' for Guitar and Live Electronics is a completely improvised live based on my patch built on Max / MSP.
The patch was built for a specific need:
I wanted the sounds to decide with their own will how to move in space and time. In this case I decided that the best choice was to allow the computer, thanks to an algorithm, to decide some types of spectral and rhythmic movements. However, the writing of the incoming buffer is not synchronized with the reading, constantly creating the feeling of not being able to totally govern the sounds
All the upcoming sound then were send in one electric guitar amp, and one bass amp.
The whole house was surrounded by microphones to capture more sound reflections and noises outside, creating this living ambient palette.
